About us

Three locals, one rule: no tourist traps

Tasty Trails started in 2024 with a simple observation: the Warsaw that visitors were shown wasn't the Warsaw we actually live in. The milk bars, the market stalls, the vodka bars without an English menu - the places that explain this city - weren't on any tour. So we built the tour we'd want to take ourselves.

The guides

Who you'll be eating with.

Michał, Tasty Trails co-founder, telling stories to a tour group on Castle Square in Warsaw

Michał

Co-founder · Food & Praga guide

Michał started Tasty Trails after years of taking visiting friends to his favorite spots and realizing the city's real food story wasn't being told. He leads the food tours and the Praga walks - guests on TripAdvisor describe his tours as 'so much more than just a food tour' for a reason: expect history, language lessons and culture between every bite.

Patryk, Tasty Trails co-founder, at a restaurant table

Patryk

Co-founder · Vodka & food guide

Our resident expert on Polish vodka, who knows Warsaw like the back of his hand. Patryk has been showing visitors the city's real food scene for three years - he spends Sundays at Hala Mirowska market and weeknights chasing the city's best żurek. On the vodka tour he'll tell you the real story behind Żubrówka, and why rye and potato vodka should never be confused.

Plus one more guide who prefers to let the food do the talking. Between the three of us we cover every tour, every day - and because we cap groups at 8, you'll actually get to talk to us.

What we believe

The rules we run tours by.

  • Small or nothing. Max 8 guests, always. A group of 20 is a school trip, not a food tour.
  • Locals only. Every guide has lived here long enough to argue about pierogi fillings in Polish.
  • No kickbacks. We don't take commissions from the places we visit. We go where the food is good, full stop.
  • Everything included. All food and drinks on the menu are in the price. No surprise bills, no awkward splitting.
